Our History

SurgeryU was initially founded in November of 2001, by our founding faculty of Doctors: Leila Adamyan, Mario Mallzoni, Harry Reich and Arnaud Wattiez. Over the years this team was joined by an outstanding faculty of more than 30 surgeons, whose contribution to Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery provided a revolution in the management of gynecologic patients worldwide.

Today, we continue to welcome gynecologic surgeons who have made significant contributions to the science and practice of Gynecologic Surgery and demonstrated their surgeries live at international meetings to join us as members of our Leading Faculty.

SurgeryU has also instituted a think tank of medical professionals as its Editorial Board. Such international leaders as Dr. Arnaud Wattiez, Dr. Harry Reich, and Dr. Leila Adamyan serve as members of the Editorial Board.

The ever constant extension of SurgeryU services greatly improves the member experience at SurgeryU. Our involvement with manufacturing companies in the educational process, availability of a video forum, live surgical and lecture presentations as well as the 24x7 availability of the largest in the world video library in gynecologic surgery supports SurgeryU's mission to promote worldwide shared learning and enhance patients' quality of life. We welcome you to join the SurgeryU team and look forward to highly productive work together in this fascinating world of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.

What a delight it is to announce to you a recent acquisition by AAGL of the SurgeryU interactive media journal of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Having become a part of the AAGL, it now lives up to its potential as it serves a group of nearly 5,000 AAGL members and is available to them 24/7 at no additional cost.

Yours sincerely,

Assia A. Stepanian, MD
