William Parker

William H. Parker, MD, is Clinical Professor at the UCLA School in Los Angeles, California, and in private practice in Santa Monica, California. Dr. Parker is Past-President of the AAGL and former Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica.

Dr, Parker is the author of over 50 scientific publications in the areas of fibroid evaluation and treatment, laparoscopic and abdominal myomectomy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic ovarian cyst surgery and ovarian conservation. Dr. Parker is an internationally recognized expert in these areas and is a frequent lecturer and teacher of advanced surgical techniques both in the United States and abroad.

Dr. Parker earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and he completed an internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California Hospital in San Diego.

Dr. Parker is a former editor of the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Journal of Gynecologic Techniques, New England Journal of Medicine, and Fertility and Sterility. He and his wife, Rachel, are authors of the women’s healthcare book A Gynecologist’s Second Opinion.
